11 x 14" 18 x 24" 24 x36" Christian Hosoi Rocket Air Eighties Skateboarding Photograph
I shot this skate photo of Christian Hosoi in the 1980s doing an original move he came up with, the Rocket Air. I shot this at Skilly's Ramp in Westminster, California with a Nikon FM2 and 16mm Nikkor fisheye lens. Christian did these all twisted up, and it has become a classic shot. This was way before digital photography and Photoshop so my exposure and lighting had to be spot on. That's a young Jeff Grosso standing on the deck.
