Natas Kaupas Eighties Skateboarding Photograph and Photo Printed Skateboard Deck
I shot this skate photo of Natas Kaupas in 1987 at the moment he was landing an ollie. I shot this on Kodak Tri-X black and white film with a Nikon FM2 and it was published in the Soul article in TWS. I think this shot is key to the elation one gets outs of skateboarding, it's all about landing the trick and rolling away after all. I am having my photo lab reproduce this photo via a Flatbed UV Printer(not silkscreened or a wrap) on a 10.75" X 30.5 PSStix 1980s style white deck. This deck is #5 out of a limited edition of 30 decks of this design total. It is signed and numbered by me. The deck includes a 16X20" Photographic print of the same image and at approximately 12X16" image on 16X20 Fuji Crystal Archive Paper Lustre paper. Lustre is the finish style between glossy and matte. The image is approximately 2 inches smaller all the way around.
Photo is made to order and signed by me(not numbered) in black Micron pen in the lower right and with title of photo in lower left in the white border and shipped in a thick as a brick cardboard tube in the same box as the limited edition deck.
My website is jgrantbrittainphotos.com with my skateboarding history, past and present.
