Natas Kaupas Fire Hydrant Sequence, Santa Monica, 1988
I shot this photo sequence of Natas Kaupas footplanting off a fire hydrant in 1988 in Santa Monica. Natas was setting street skating on a new direction and this sequence was just another example of that.
I shot this photo with my Nikon F3 and a 16mm fisheye lens. I was laying on the ground and Natas was flying off the driveway cut to the hydrant and then to the street beyond.
