Owen Nieder Layback Air Eighties Skateboarding Photograph
I shot this skate photo of Owen Nieder doing a layback air in the 1980s at the Del Mar Skate Ranch. I worked at DMSR and Owen was one of the OG Locals. I shot at least a thousand photos of him over the nine years the park was there. This frame was shot on my Nikon FM2 with a 16mm Nikkor fisheye lens. This was way before digital photography and Photoshop so my exposure and lighting had to be right on the money. This photo was seen once in the mag and I haven't shown it around too much.
16x22" approximate image size on 18x24" Fuji Crystal Archive Paper Lustre paper. Lustre is the finish style between glossy and matte.
