The 2016 Chin Ramp Redux at Woodward with The Bones Brigade
The Chin Handplants are back after 30 years. The Chin Ramp was rebuilt and the Bones Brigade has done the Inverts again! I was fortunate in 1986 to have been the skateboard photographer shooting photos of the Bones Brigade at the Chin Ramp during the filming of "The Search for Animal Chin". I spent several days with Stacy Peralta and Craig Stecyk while they directed and filmed Bones Brigaders, Tony Hawk, Mike McGill, Tommy Guerrero, Steve Caballero, and Lance Mountain in a field in Oceanside, California. I was able to snap this photo of McGill, Caballero, Mountain, and Hawk all handplanting the spine in unison on the last day of shooting. The elaborate ramp was torn down the next day and the rest is history. This photo was shot in Sept of 2016 when the ramp was replicated.
