I shot this Black and White skate photo of Chris Miller in 1986 at the legendary Upland Pipeline skatepark in the Combi pool. The camera was a Nikon FM2 with 16mm Nikkor fisheye lens mounted on the top of a mono-pod and equipped with a squeeze bulb shutter release cable.
Check out our shadows in the upper right of the photo - that shows his height and the Pole Cam setup. I shot a roll of color Fuji Velvia film and a roll of Kodak Tri-X black and white. I couldn't see through my lens, so I had to wait till I got my film back from the lab to see if anything came out. I guess we pulled it off. Are those Air Jordans?
12x16", 16x20", and 18x24" on luster paper. I choose luster over a glossy finish - it looks way better.
The photo is made to order and signed by me in black Micron pen in the lower right and with the title of the photo in lower left in the white border and shipped in a thick as you know what cardboard tube.
