John Gibson Early Released Frontside Air Del Mar Skate Ranch Skateboarding Photo
John "Tex" Gibson is one of my all time favorite skaters and I still remember when Strople and Wally introduced him to me when I worked at the Del Mar Skate Ranch. Style is talked about a lot and Tex is the epitome of Style. I shot this early released frontside air at DMSR in the mid 1980s and it's perfect on John's part, It is shot with a Nikon FM2 and 16mm Nikkor fisheye lens. This was way before digital photography and Photoshop so my exposure and lighting had to be spot on.
11 x 14", 18 x 24" and 24 x 36" printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper Lustre paper. Lustre is the finish style between glossy and matte.
